For Halloween this year, I taught the classic spooky short story “The Monkey’s Paw” and wrote up my own addendum to the tale, which follows this post. “The Monkey’s Paw” may be well over a hundred years old but it does have some contemporary flair as it is essentially a zombie tale with good anti-capitalist, anti-colonialist vibes.
